BTWSC Ends A Hectic 2008 Fourth Quarter With Last Ayekoo Session On December 6
It's been a crazy last quarter for BTWSC, which ends with a celebratory mood with last Ayekoo Dec. 6...
It's been a crazy last quarter for BTWSC, what with delivering Black History Month presentations for the Home Office, Kingston Upon Thames Council, Copland School (3 assamblies), Jesus & Mary School, Portal To African History presentation and a DVD made with students at Hatch End High School, Brent Black Music History Photographic Exhibition Open Day, which concentrated on the influence of Jamaicans and reggae, and The Songs Of Life, Survival & Empowerment Concert, we need a break!
We have one more commitment - the Ayekoo Session on Saturday December 6 2008, 3-6pm (the last one until further notice).
The speed discussion topic is 'Is Segregation (schools, languages, areas) The Way Forward, 3-30-4.10pm, There will be the BTWSC AGM, lots of fun, chat, etc in a relaxed atmosphere with hopefully some Christmas vibes!
Ayekoo is a family-orientated First Saturday of the Month session for individuals and families to chill, play games, network, listen to music, and occassionally story-telling, debates, film shows, etc plus African style meal cooked on the premises by Dame Betty Asafu-Adjaye and staff for £5 per person.
No need to book, but you're welcome to enquire about any special items on a particular month. Let's make this the hub for African-interest networking, chilling and socialising in north/north-west London by attending and supporting the centre. Every first Saturday of the month, 3-6pm.
These are the topics for the third of 2008 (3.30-4/4.10pm)
